Consistently reliable for spirits

I've ordered from Lavinia a few times now, mostly for their spirits selection. This last time I got a Single Malt and, as usual, it was exactly what I wanted. Their range of whiskies is really good. The delivery was consistent with my previous orders, about 4-5 days to California, which is acceptable. I've found their customer service to be responsive if I've had a question before ordering. Prices are fair for the quality you get. I keep coming back because I know I'll get what I ordered without any fuss.

Good selection, slow delivery

I ordered a bottle of Vin de Bourgogne for a dinner party. The selection on Lavinia's site was really impressive, a lot of options I don't see elsewhere. The packaging was top-notch, very secure, no worries about breakage. However, it took 7 days to reach me in Florida, which was a bit longer than I expected given their 'express delivery' claim. It arrived safely, but planning ahead is definitely needed.

Lavinia has a HUGE selection, probably bigger than Millésima in some areas. Their express delivery is a plus too if you need it fast.

I've used all three. Lavinia feels a bit more curated on the high-end stuff, and their packaging for shipping is top-notch. Millésima is good for Bordeaux specifically, but Lavinia's overall range, especially for spirits and organic wines, is really impressive.

They're based in Europe, so expect a bit of a wait for US delivery. Pretty sure they have express options if you're in a rush though, but for standard I'd factor in 5-7 business days at least. Might depend on customs too.

do they do returns if a bottle is corked or something? hate getting a bad bottle and being stuck with it.

Yeah, pretty sure they do. Most reputable wine places will, especially for corked bottles. I remember seeing something about it in their FAQs.

Anyone know if Lavinia is legit? Some of these prices seem really good for what they're offering, especially for some of the older vintages. Don't want to get scammed.

Nah, usually not. Most online places don't let you combine codes with stuff that's already on sale. I tried that once with a different site and it didn't work.

I think their policy is no stacking, especially for sales. The newsletter discount is usually for full-price items or your first order only. It'll probably say in the terms of the code though.
